Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Mushrooms
- 2 (1-lb) ribeye steaks (2 pounds total), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
Seasoning
- 1 packet Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Cut the ribeye steaks into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl to ensure even seasoning and cooking.
- Season the Meat and Mushrooms: Add the packet of Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix, sliced fresh mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil to the bowl with the steak pieces. Toss everything thoroughly until all the pieces are well coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Air Fry the Steak Tips and Mushrooms: Transfer the seasoned mixture into the air fryer basket in a single layer to allow even cooking. Set the air fryer temperature to 400ºF (204ºC).
- Cook to Desired Doneness: Cook the steak tips and mushrooms at 400ºF for 8 to 10 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness. If you prefer the steak medium-well, increase the cooking time by 2 additional minutes.
- Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the steak tips and mushrooms from the air fryer. Serve immediately while hot, optionally alongside your choice of sides like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
Notes
- Cutting the steak into uniform bite-sized pieces ensures even cooking in the air fryer.
- Use fresh mushrooms for the best texture and flavor; button or cremini work well.
- Cooking times may vary slightly based on your air fryer model; check the steak doneness early if unsure.
- For a lower-fat option, use olive oil sparingly or substitute with a spray oil for coating.
- Resting the steak tips for a couple of minutes before serving helps retain juices.
