- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Add-ins
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken sausage, diced (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped spinach
- 1/4 cup diced onions
Other
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 7-inch round cake pan or similar oven-safe dish that fits inside your air fryer basket using cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Mix the Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the 6 large eggs, 1 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Add Vegetables and Meat: Gently fold in the diced bell peppers, chopped spinach, diced onions, and cooked chicken sausage if using. Make sure everything is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Pour into Pan: Pour the egg mixture into the prepared greased pan and spread it out evenly to ensure uniform cooking.
- Cook: Place the pan inside the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick or knife into the center; it should come out clean when the frittata is fully set.
- Serve: Allow the frittata to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm as a delicious and wholesome meal.
