Description

A sweet and creamy Apple Snicker Salad combining crisp Granny Smith apples, chopped Snickers bars, and fluffy whipped cream with vanilla and powdered sugar. This no-cook, crowd-pleasing dessert salad is easy to prepare and perfect for potlucks or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Chocolate & Candy

  • 5 Snickers bars (full-sized)

Dairy & Baking

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Optional Toppings

  • 1/4 cup caramel topping (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Wash, core, and dice the Granny Smith apples into bite-sized pieces. Toss them with the lemon juice to prevent browning and transfer to a large mixing or serving bowl.
  2. Chop the Snickers: Cut the Snickers bars into small bite-sized pieces and add them to the bowl with the apples.
  3. Whip the Cream: In a separate mixing bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to whip the heavy cream together with the vanilla extract. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cornstarch while whipping and continue until stiff peaks form, which should take about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine the Salad: Gently fold the whipped cream mixture into the bowl containing the apples and Snickers, tossing carefully to coat all the ingredients evenly without crushing the apples.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the salad until ready to serve. Just before serving, drizzle the optional caramel topping over the salad to add extra sweetness and a decorative touch. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use Granny Smith apples for their tartness and crunch that balances the sweetness of the Snickers and cream.
  • Tossing apples in lemon juice prevents browning and keeps the salad looking fresh.
  • Gradually adding powdered sugar while whipping helps stabilize the cream for a thicker texture.
  • Cornstarch adds extra stability to the whipped cream, helping maintain the salad’s texture.
  • For a nut-free version, substitute Snickers with a nut-free candy or chocolate bar.
  • Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture.
