Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Coating
- 8 oz white chocolate chips (or milk chocolate)
- 8 oz dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for smooth melting)
Pretzels & Decorations
- 12-15 small pretzels (square or round)
- 1/4 cup pastel sprinkles
- 1/4 cup mini candy eggs or Easter-themed candies
Instructions
- Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent the pretzels from sticking after dipping.
- Melt the chocolate: In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the white chocolate and dark chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring well between intervals to ensure smooth consistency. Stir in the vegetable oil to help achieve a silky, smooth texture that’s easy to coat the pretzels with.
- Dip the pretzels: Using a fork, dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate, either fully or partially covering it as desired. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the pretzel on the prepared baking sheet.
- Decorate: Immediately after dipping, sprinkle each pretzel with pastel sprinkles or press mini candy eggs onto the chocolate for a festive Easter look.
- Set the chocolate: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely hardened and set.
- Serve & enjoy: Once set, transfer the chocolate covered pretzels to a serving dish and enjoy this sweet and salty Easter treat!
Notes
- Use silicone mats or parchment paper to avoid sticking and make cleanup easier.
- If chocolate seizes, gently reheat and stir or add a tiny bit more vegetable oil.
- Customize decorations with sprinkles or candies of your choice to match the occasion.
- For a smoother coating, ensure the chocolate is fully melted and mixed with oil before dipping.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate if preferred.
