Description

A delicious and hearty Breakfast Supreme Flatbread featuring a crispy artisan flatbread base layered with creamy garlic and herb cheese, scrambled eggs, a savory blend of breakfast and smoked sausages, bacon, sautéed onions, bell peppers, and melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for a satisfying morning meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Flatbread Base

  • 1 (14.1-oz) package Stonefire artisan flatbread
  • 1 (5.2-oz) package Boursin garlic and herb cheese, softened

Meats and Vegetables

  • ½ lb breakfast sausage
  • ½ lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • ¼ cup chopped bell peppers

Eggs and Cheese

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400ºF (204ºC). Place the flatbreads on a baking pan or cookie sheet and set aside to prepare the toppings.
  2. Cook Meats and Veggies: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, chopped bacon, sliced smoked sausage, chopped onions, and bell peppers together. Stir occasionally until the meats are browned and the vegetables are softened. Once cooked, carefully drain the fat from the skillet and set the mixture aside.
  3. Scramble Eggs: Whisk the eggs in a bowl until fully blended. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and pour in the eggs. Cook while stirring continuously to scramble until they are just set but still moist. Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble Flatbreads: Spread a generous amount of softened Boursin garlic and herb cheese evenly over each flatbread. Then, layer the scrambled eggs on top of the cheese, spreading them out evenly.
  5. Add Meats and Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the eggs. Distribute the cooked sausage, smoked sausage, bacon, onions, and bell peppers mixture on top of the cheese layer.
  6. Bake Flatbreads: Place the assembled flatbreads in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the flatbreads are heated through and the mozzarella cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • Ensure to drain the fat after cooking the meats to avoid a greasy flatbread.
  • The Boursin cheese should be softened to make spreading easier.
  • Serve immediately after baking for the best taste and texture.
  • You can substitute the sausages with vegetarian options to make it meat-free.
  • For added flavor, consider topping with fresh herbs like parsley or chives before serving.
