Ingredients
Scale
Beef Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Garlic Butter
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Others
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Sliced pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it to prevent the rollups from sticking and ensure even baking.
- Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula until browned and fully cooked, about 7 to 8 minutes. Drain excess fat as needed.
- Season the Beef: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper thoroughly into the cooked beef. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly to prevent melting the tortillas when assembling.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with minced garlic until well mixed. Set aside this flavorful mixture to brush on the rollups before baking.
- Assemble the Rollups: Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean flat surface. Evenly distribute the cooled beef mixture over each tortilla, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly on top of the beef.
- Roll and Bake: Roll each tortilla tightly from one side, tucking in the ends to fully enclose the filling. Place the rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Generously brush the tops with the garlic butter mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
- Serve: Allow the rollups to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving. Slice into pinwheels if desired and garnish with sliced pickles for the classic cheeseburger flavor. Serve warm and enjoy.
