Description

These fudgy mini brownie bites are the perfect bite-sized treat for chocolate lovers. Made with rich cocoa powder, melted butter, and mini chocolate chips, they’re simple to prepare and bake in under 30 minutes. Ideal for parties, snack time, or whenever a chocolate craving hits, these brownies come out moist, deeply chocolatey, and delightfully gooey in the center.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Batter

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted (1 stick)
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder, spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips, divided (3/4 cup for batter, 1/4 cup for topping)

Instructions

  1. Get prepped: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a mini muffin tin generously with baking spray or line it with mini muffin liners to prevent the brownie bites from sticking.
  2. Make the brownie batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Add the eggs and continue whisking until creamy. Sift in the cocoa powder and all-purpose flour, mixing gently until just combined. Carefully fold in 3/4 cup of mini chocolate chips, reserving the rest for topping.
  3. Scoop and bake: Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, evenly portion the brownie batter into each well of the prepared mini muffin tin. Sprinkle the remaining mini chocolate chips on top of each portion. Bake in the preheated oven for 14 to 16 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist, chocolatey crumbs but not raw batter.
  4. Cool and remove: Allow the brownie bites to cool completely in the pan. To remove them, gently hold the sides of each brownie bite and twist back and forth until they loosen. If needed, run a butter knife carefully around the edges to help release them, but be aware this may slightly affect their shape.

Notes

  • For best fudgy texture, do not overbake; check doneness starting at 14 minutes.
  • You can line the mini muffin tin with paper liners for easy removal and cleaner presentation.
  • Storage: Keep brownie bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
  • Feel free to add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness if desired.
  • Mini chocolate chips can be substituted with regular chocolate chips chopped smaller if unavailable.
