Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasoning
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Topping Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon (chopped)
- 2 green onions (sliced)
Garnish
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Pound and Season Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness to ensure they cook uniformly. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper for flavor.
- Sear Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2–3 minutes on each side until lightly golden. The chicken doesn’t need to be fully cooked at this stage.
- Prepare Topping Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan until smooth. Fold in the chopped cooked bacon and sliced green onions evenly.
- Assemble and Bake: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each seared chicken breast. Place the topped chicken breasts in the greased baking dish. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the topping is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top for a burst of color and freshness. Serve warm with your choice of sides such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
Notes
- For extra richness and tang, substitute part of the mayonnaise with sour cream.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh side salad for a balanced meal.
- Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated within 2 days.
