Ingredients
Scale
For the Burger Patties
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
Lasagna Layer
- 4 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions and cut to bun size
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 4 slices crispy bacon
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Buns
- 4 brioche burger buns
Instructions
- Prepare patties: Form the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning evenly to infuse flavor.
- Cook patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat, then cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your preferred doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty to melt.
- Cook lasagna noodles: Follow the package instructions to cook the lasagna noodles until tender. Drain and cut each noodle to the size of your burger buns so they’ll layer neatly.
- Assemble lasagna layer: On top of each cheeseburger patty, place a cooked lasagna noodle. Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the noodle, then add a generous spoonful of marinara sauce, a slice of crispy bacon, and sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese.
- Toast buns: Butter the brioche buns on the cut sides. Toast them in the same skillet over medium heat until they turn golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Assemble burger: Spread additional marinara sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the lasagna-topped burger patty on top, then cover with the top bun. Serve immediately and enjoy your lasagna burger!
Notes
- To ensure even cooking, avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to retain juiciness.
- Bacon can be substituted with pancetta or turkey bacon for different flavor profiles.
- Make sure to cut the lasagna noodles to fit your bun size to prevent slippery layers.
- If preferred, you can broil the assembled burgers briefly to melt the cheeses further before serving.
- This recipe can be doubled easily for larger groups.
