Ingredients
Scale
Seafood
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb crab meat
Pasta & Cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Sauce & Cream
- 4 cups Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
Seasonings & Others
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat and Cook Noodles: Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Cook the lasagna noodles following package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to cool.
- Sauté Seafood: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Then add crab meat, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, cooking for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan, heavy cream, and chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
- Assemble Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer lasagna noodles evenly on top. Spread one-third of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by one-third of the seafood mixture, and drizzle with Alfredo sauce. Repeat this layering process two more times, ending with a top layer of noodles and Alfredo sauce.
- Add Toppings and Bake: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top. Add breadcrumbs to create a crunchy topping. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Rest and Garnish: Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes after baking to set. Garnish with extra parsley if desired before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh seafood for best flavor and texture.
- Be sure not to overcook the noodles during boiling; al dente is best to prevent sogginess.
- Letting the lasagna rest after baking helps it set for easier slicing.
- Breadcrumbs add a nice crunch, but can be omitted for a softer top layer.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level or omit if sensitive to spice.
