Ingredients
Scale
Tea Base
- 3 Tazo Passion Tea bags (or other fruit tea containing hibiscus and rose hip)
- 2 liters boiling water (about 8 cups)
Lemonade
- 5 lemons (juice only)
- 1/4 cup liquid honey (substitute maple syrup, agave, or stevia, if desired)
Serving
- 3 cups ice cubes
- Lemon slices for serving
Instructions
- Brew the Tea: In a large heat-safe pitcher, add the 3 Tazo Passion Tea bags to 2 liters of boiling water. Allow the tea to steep for at least 10 minutes to extract the flavors completely.
- Cool the Tea: Remove the tea bags after steeping and let the tea cool down. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for about 1 hour. For convenience, you may brew the tea the night before and refrigerate it to develop flavor.
- Prepare the Lemonade Mixture: Juice 5 lemons to get fresh lemon juice and add it to a blender. Pour in 1/4 cup of liquid honey or your preferred sweetener. Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and well combined.
- Combine and Chill: Pour the blended lemon-honey mixture into the chilled tea in the pitcher. Add 3 cups of ice cubes to the pitcher to cool the drink further and dilute slightly for balance.
- Serve: Stir the tea lemonade thoroughly to mix all components evenly. Pour into glasses, garnish with lemon slices, and serve cold for a refreshing beverage experience.
Notes
- You can substitute the liquid honey with maple syrup, agave, or stevia depending on your sweetness preference or dietary needs.
- Brew the tea the night before to enhance the flavor and reduce preparation time before serving.
- Adjust the amount of lemon juice or sweetener to suit your taste.
- For a sparkling twist, add a splash of soda water just before serving.
